The battling finishes with the armistice on 27 July 1953 along with the creation of the demilitarised zone, separating the two Koreas. Up to three million persons are killed during the war.

Baseball and golfing can also be well known. The 파라곤 board sport Go, regarded in Korea as baduk, has also been well-liked for more than a millennium, first arriving from China while in the 5th century CE; baduk is played both of those casually and competitively.
